Renowned for his proficiency, Dr. Patel performs targeted and detailed DIE ultrasound scans, specializing in the classification of endometriosis and adenomyosis. Notably, he actively trains younger specialists in ultrasound techniques for deep infiltrative endometriosis.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Patel, as the immediate past chair of KESES (Kenya Society of Endoscopic Specialties), has significantly propelled the progress of endoscopic techniques in Kenya. As the director of 3rd Park Hospital, the first endometriosis center in Kenya, he oversees a center known for its excellence in surgical care and education. Leading the training committee, Dr. Patel serves as the course director for training programs and workshops catering to medical specialists and nurses.

As a founding trustee of Laparoscopy Mashinani, Dr. Patel is dedicated to advancing minimally invasive surgery in rural Eastern Africa. His memberships in AAGL and as an associate member of RCOG underscore his commitment to global standards in women’s health.

With over 20 peer-reviewed articles and numerous international conference presentations, Dr. Patel’s impact extends to conducting over 50 hands-on MIS workshops as a course director. His passion lies in delivering exceptional care for women and girls facing endometriosis and adenomyosis, emphasizing timely diagnosis and multidisciplinary approaches to enhance their quality of life. Dr. Patel’s belief centers on preventing incomplete surgeries, complications, recurrences, and unnecessary repeat procedures.

Additionally, Dr. Patel is one of the founding members of PASE (Pan African Society of Endometriosis), showcasing his commitment to advancing the understanding and management of endometriosis on a broader scale. A true teacher at heart, he is passionate about elevating the provision of high-quality and standardized women’s healthcare.
